The Buddha

We are told that there is one consciousness of which we are a part. The Enlightened One tells us to turn to our own inner self to reveal what is right and what is is wrong, and to let go of unnecessary burdens. Again the theme is loud and clear: Treat everyone as you wish to be treated; and to turn inward to be our own guide.

Amazingly, many or all of the great spiritual teachers give this advice, and yet we hear the same thing over and over. It very clearly shows that nobody has a monopoly on spiritual themes.
